ABOUT ME

Cassie Hakken is an theatre artist and arts administrator based in Bloomington, Indiana. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, she moved to Bloomington to study at Indiana University, graduating with a BS in Business Management from the Kelley School of Business and a BA in Theatre & Drama.

Cassie is a founding board member and the Associate Artistic Director of Off Night Productions, a women-led theatre company producing contemporary theatre and music on "off-nights" (Sunday-Wednesday) of the traditional performance week. Cassie produces, directs, and occasionally performs in Off Night shows.

Director:

Cassie has directed Proof, Off Night Cabaret: Love Songs, Reimagined, and co-directed Steel Magnolias for Off Night Productions and Assistant Directed Next to Normal (Directed by Kate Galvin) at Constellation Stage & Screen.

Performer:

A life-long singer, Cassie has been performing in plays and musicals since high school. Recently, she played Sally in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown at Constellation and performed in Monroe County Civic Theatre's Love Lost, Love Found Cabaret.

Cassie has also worked extensively behind the scenes as a stagehand, stage manager, and props artisan.

Administrator:

As an Arts Administrator, Cassie serves as the Marketing Director of Constellation Stage & Screen, Bloomington's professional theatre company. Prior to Constellation, Cassie acted as the Managing Director of the Jewish Theater of Bloomington and the Marketing Manager of Cardinal Stage, leading the re-branding and publicity aspects of the company’s three-way merger in 2022.

Upcoming Projects:

This year, Cassie will be directing Five Times in One Night and performing in Off Night Cabaret: Leading Ladies of Broadway for Off Night Productions.
